M8 – Will Shore’s Tree (and the descent): Mark & Tessa Jackson
M9 – Track Junction: Mick Moorhouse
M10 – Home straight (final right turn): Matt Haywood

Any others

We have arranged parking in the Square and Compass camping field, and are keen to direct as many cars as possible to this. To avoid complaints from the residents, we need to keep parking ‘sensible’ between the bridge and South Darley, so would like a couple of marshals (and any other volunteers pre-race) to encourage cars into the car park (if arriving from the North) and to encourage them not to park on the B5057 or Oldfield Lane if arriving from the South. Would like to use John Thorpe and Sue Hickmore for this, but will be helpful to have more volunteers (to be allocated on the evening) to keep an eye on the roads and to prevent any parking chaos (the last thing we want is complaints from local residents).

Any marshals or other volunteers that aren’t listed above, please still come along – there will be lots of other tasks on the evening and we will need help clearing things down at the end.

The course should be set up, signed and swept beforehand (Craig and Andy to do on Thursday afternoon). The race starts at 7pm and we hope to have everyone registered by 6:45. Would be much appreciated if marshals could aim to get to the Three Staggs between 5:30 – 6:00 to confirm arrangements, and so we have time for a last minute panic if anyone is unable to make it.

Any queries, please message Andy or Craig
