It was the Avenue Run 5kat Wingworth and a MAC Senior GP race.8 ventured out to The Avenue Country Park in Chesterfield. It was a windy day and with a loose gravel surface but did notcause the MAC runners any problems claiming all 5 overall top spots, 1st -
Colin Davenport, 2nd - John Thorpe, 3rd - Simon Fisher, 4th Denney Lau, 5th
Robert Scriven and 9th - Roy Austin. There was a bit of a drama with the navigation, as half waythrough the race Colin and Simon took a wrong turn but got back on course.In addition, first lady was Alaina Bond and second lady was Sally Owen.
Two junior MAC also took part in the 1500m race. It was a close race between 1st and 2nd with Ewan Donnelly finishing only 7 seconds behind the
winner in 7.25. Also Clara Fisher came 9th with an also impressive time of 8:45

 It was Sheffield Half Marathon on Sunday in lovely warm conditions.  The race incorporates a ‘triple test’ giving
entrants a chance to be crowned King/Queen of the Hill in a timed hill climb,
triumph in a 10k largely downhill sprint section and run to the finish line.  The winner was Andrew Heyes in 1.06.04 and
Caroline Brock was 1st lady in 1.23.27.For MAC Neil Corker finished in 1.47.58, Matt Govan 1.47.37, Naomi Lou in 2.00.03 and Atessa
Kolanowska who did not enjoy the first 10k!

It was also the Robin Hood Half Marathon, which raised over £320,000 for charity in 2019.  A single lap on a traffic free course.  The race starts on the Victoria Embankment and is undulating with a couple of inclines at the start.  A picturesque route taking in Nottingham Castle and Wollaton Park. Only two MACs, Nick Gant and Geoff Cooper, were on the start line ready to run the roads of Nottingham. The results for the MACs were Nick Gant in 79th place in 1h27m57s (chip and not quite a PB) and
Geoff Cooper in 682nd place in 1h47m06s (chip). 3,867 participants completed
the course.
1st Male WillStrangeway (Lincoln Wellington) 1h07m41s and 1st Female Megan Rosier(unattached) 1h25m29s.

Tom Woodhouse Ventured over to the Potters Halfin Stoke . It was a hard race with 850 ft elevation but a well supported finish
in the town centre. He finished in 1 hr 49 mins
