Matlock Athletic Club is saddened to hear of the passing of one of our founder members, Brian Howitt. Brian passed away on the evening of Saturday 29 November.
Without Brian our club might not exist, and would not be what it is today. Anyone interested in the early years of our club might enjoy reading the history of the club, much of which was written by Brian – our inaugural chairman (https://www.matlockac.org.uk/club-history/)
We will share details of Brian’s funeral when they are known – if anyone would like to send any messages to Brian’s family, please email [email protected] and we will pass them on to Dorothy, Jackie, Phil and the family.
