On Sunday 8th October there were two MAC’s running on a perfect sunny morning in the heart of the Peak District at Chelmorton Village.
The Chelmorton Chase course is a mixed five-mile route with a strong starting climb and a downhill finish that starts and finishes in Main Street, in the village of Chelmorton in the heart of the Peak District at eleven hundred feet above sea level. Mixed terrain, field grass, limestone track and half tarmac make for a fast pace with terrific panoramas of the limestone vistas in the Peak National Park.
First runner home was Rotherham Harriers James Mellor 30:23, just twenty seconds outside the course record. First female was Helen Elmore who was awarded the Windross Memorial Ladies shield and finished 38:08. First female Veteran was Liz Batt 40:58

First MAC to the finish line was Gemma Cox (12th) 2nd Female 39:35 and myself Sally Owen finished (29th) 47:26 There were 38 Runners all together.
