A belting race around the undulating shores of Coniston Water, and one which I know has a fond place in the hearts of many a MAC runner past and present.
K. Walker of Oxenhope Project and Scarlet Dale of Helm Hill took their category wins in 1:11:59 and 1:22:11 respectively, and I tagged along just behind Scarlet to finish 12th overall.
Generous prizes for top 15 in each category were presented by Tim Farron MP, surely marking a career highlight for any Lib Dem.
Joyously, no medals, and a top notch egg sandwich provided by the PTFA.
