Info for Tuesday’s Cross Country Race at Carsington (5 July 2022)

The route will be an out and back. Commencing on the dam wall to allow the pack to spread out before entering the narrower sections of the trail, the run will proceed anti-clockwise around Carsington water to a turnaround point. The return stretch being the shorter leg, finishing just shy of the Millfields car park. Total distance approx 4.5 miles.

The trail is well maintained comprising compacted stone/shingle. It tends to drain reasonably well but in the event of recent rain there could be odd puddles to negotiate.
There is a very short section of tarmac lane where runners should note residents have vehicle access, however marshals will be present.
