Sunday morning saw a Quartet of Macs head up to Crowden just past Glossop to run the Crowden Horseshoe which is a BM Fell race, starting at Crowden just off the Woodhead Pass, and has a reputation for being steep and boggy. From the organiser: “Taking the scenic Pennine way via Laddow Rocks and to the summit of Black Hill to Soldiers Lump trig point…before ascending the old Pennine Way via Toolyshaw. Totaling 8.2 miles and 1500ft.
For the Ladies Sally Hale led them home closely followed by Ayako taking first VW50 then completing the trio was Kate Ruffell First VW60, This meant they took First Team 🎽🏆
For the men John Thorpe finished 43rd o/a.
