The Derby 10k took place on a dreary, dank and windy Sunday. Derby is a city in the East Midlands which has a cathedral, league one football team, roads and cobbles.
Four long established MACs took part and finished within 1 minute 32 seconds of each other. First back was Matt Haywood in 43:10 followed by Dan Ashcroft, Denney Lau and Mark Moriarty.
They were joined by two new members Rebecca Curtis-Hall and Robert Curtis who are still registered to their former club Ranelagh Harriers; welcome to both of them. They completed the race in 49:21 and 50:36 respectively.
The race was won by David Bishop in 31:20 and first lady was Laura Bailey in 37:11. There were 2,465 runners.
