Derwent River Relays
On Saturday 6th July, 16 MACs went down the A6 to Belper to take part in the Derwent River Relays, organised by Belper Harriers.
The course is 4.5K and is a flat loop along the river, starting and finishing at Belper Meadows Sports Club.
Going with a Taylor Swift theme for team names, ‘Should’ve Said No’ ( Logan Fairey , Lottie ChargeFitness , David Robertson , Alaina Bond )won the Mixed Senior Prize with a time of 1:16:54, and we’re 8th O/A.
‘Is It Over Now?’ ( Darren Spibey Damon Harrison John Thorpe Luke Beresford ) took home the honours for Male Vet 40 with a fantastic time of 1:08:50, 3rd O/A.
‘This Is Me Trying ‘ ( Chris Gillott Patrick Grant Christian Limb Tim Clayton ) ran brilliantly and only just missed out (by 4 seconds) on claiming the Male Vet 50 prize with a time of 1:21:40, 12th O/A.
‘ Look What You Made Me Do’ ( Lisa Jones Brian Chan Lucy Sumner John Green ) also had a brilliant run, finishing in 1:34:20 and 33rd O/A.
