English Fell Running Championships – Long Mynd

Rich Bradbury reports on the English Fell Running Championships:

The English Fell Running Championship series got off to a big start yesterday in Shropshire with the Long Mynd Valleys Race and a great start to the Champs campaign for MAC.
The course had it all, 11.5 miles with 4500′ of climb as it took in 6 valleys with some exciting descents and killer climbs but also quite a long flat bit early on where you could take in views if minded.
I doubt Billy Cartwright and Dan Howarth were doing that as they battled at the head of the race.
Billy took the win in a new course record time 1.28.55.
Mick Moorhouse was 1st v70
