
On Sunday morning 2 Macs headed North to Birch Vale to run The Famous Grouse Fell Race, the race covers 5.2 miles and 1300ft of elevation taking in Chinley Churn on its way, mostly run on open moorland which was frozen solid with the odd icey ankle deep puddles thrown in before the last mile downhill blast to batter the Quads, Matt Gvn making his return to racing after 2 years out with reoccurring injuries finished 82nd, John Thorpe after a slip into a stream crossing, came home in 39th, there were 123 runners!
