Great Hameldon Fell Race: 9.6km/338m, Accrington nr Burnley.
The race was organized by Clayton-le-moors Harriers and the club was founded in 1922.
The club’s original name was Clayton Harriers. The club had great runners like Dr Ron Hill MBE, 1938-2021.
The race started on the coppice and the course was tracks, fields open boggy moorlands which headed towards Great Hameldon Trig.
A fast downhill section near the finish with a loop round the field.
The race was won by Ben Rothery who broke the course record by 19 seconds.

59th Mick Moorhouse MACs, 1st 0/70 52.55
runners = 212.
Mick had another good run picking up a £10.00 voucher for age cat win.
