Grindleford Fell Race 2022

Grindleford Fell Race – Thursday 16th June 2022.

Thursday night saw 6 MAC’s take part in the Grindleford Fell Race which is 4.8 miles with 722ft climbing. Starting on the playing fields in the centre of the village, it takes you up through Hay Wood, the Longshore Estate and back down the beautiful Padley Gorge. The celebrated river crossing within site of the finishing line offers excellent spectating opportunities(!).

Prize winners for last nights race. Outstanding performances from race winner Greg Hopkinson and in second place Matt Nichols. Mick Moorhouse 1st 0/70 and Les Thurston 2nd 0/70 (Sorry but we missed Matt, Geoff and Robert for a photo).
