We have a list of races below. The juniors are welcome to do as many as they wish from their age category. Their 5 best races from the year will count. Your junior/s will only be competing against other MAC members that are in their age category. 1st position will be given 20 points, 2nd will get 19 points, 3rd gets 18 points, etc.
After the scores are added up at the end of the year, prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd girl and boy in each age category.
If racing isn’t their thing they can still take part and just jog round and use the races as a training run. There is never any pressure to be the fastest but it’s nice just to have a go.
All juniors that take part in 5 or more races will receive a medal at the end of year junior presentation.
We are very proud of our juniors and love to see them representing MAC with the official club top. If you haven’t got one, then please let us know if you’d like to order one.
Age categories have been sorted out the best we can to make it fair and to give the juniors a bit of a mixture of distances and disciplines (road racing, cross country, etc).
Some of the events in the GP series haven’t confirmed dates yet. We will give more information out before each race and update the website with the new dates as soon as possible.
New age groups (from April 2026) are –
U9 - Years 2 and 3
U12 - Years 4, 5 and 6
U14 - Years 7 and 8
U16 - Years 9 and 10
U18 - Years 11 and 12
