Sunday 30th November saw two MAC’s heading north to test their mettle on the super fast out and back course to Kirkstall Abbey.
The monastery was established in 1152 and has links to its sister site, Fountains Abbey further north near Ripon. (fabulous parkrun up there if anyone gets chance to visit)
10,132 runners braved the sunny but low single figure temperatures. Some just wearing a vest and shorts! These tended to be the super fast elite that you had the privilege of briefly seeing on their return from the half way point.
Definitely one to add to your list if you’re after a 10k PB.

Cherry Moger got a new PB in 45:13 and 13th F40, leaving her room to “pull her finger out” next time!
