Our weekly summary from Dennis Holmes:
11 MACS covered at least 4 counties and 9 parkruns this lovely Saturday morning.
The tourist award was snatched from experienced hands when Nicky Dick turned out at Cheltenham parkrun with a swift 25.01 for 120th place and 14th lady. Having made the trip to Marple, Dennis Holmes and Jay Bird thought that they had retained the tourism title but this was not to be.
Just a stones throw south Luke Beresford was running yet another impressive time of 17.30 for 2nd place at Buxton pavilion.
In middle Derbyshire the ever reliable Sarah Walton was sole MAC at our local Monsal trail today finishing in 33.03, 111th place whilst at the other end of Derbyshire in the big smoke Louise Rowley completed Markeaton in 22.43 for 51st and 3rd lady whilst close by, Lisa Walton completing her 30th Alvaston parkrun, ran 29.03 for 146th position.
In more rural southern Derbyshire at Ashbourne Simon Fisher maintained his winning streak in a great time of 18.55.
Our 3 remaining mini tourists saw Sarah Witham and Robert Scriven completing the undulating Graves park Sheffield in 22.48 & 23.11 respectively for 13th & 17th places. Last but not least also in the people’s democratic republic of South Yorkshire, Roy Austin completed Sandall parkrun in a respectable 24.50 for 51st place.
