MACs at parkrun 13 May 2023

Dennis Holmes reports on MAC attendances at parkruns on 13 May

Loads of tourism and some really quick times today.

Performance of the day must go to Will Croft at Poolsbrook finishing 2nd in a new PB time of 18.03 with dad Simon also setting a PB of 21.40 for 16th.

Over at Shipley Country park Luke Beresford notched up another 1st with a steady 19.25.

At the local Monsal Trail event Greg Hopkinson finished 25th in 20.38 whilst Paul Clark came home in 40th in 23.49.

From North to South starting with York, Rob and Sarah both ran cracking times around the racecourse Robs 21.16 (86th) with Sarah only seconds behind in 21.54 for 108th and 8th lady.

Also in Yorkshire Dennis Holmes and Jay Bird ran Cross Flatts parkrun which is not flat. Dennis finished 50th in 24.46, Jay having taken an early fall was 58th in 25.54.

Back nearer home in Newark Nottinghamshire Roy Austin had another good run finishing 23rd in 23.52.

Lisa Walton was at Beacon parkrun Staffordshire finishing in 31.12 (position 206) whilst Chris Rouse set a new PB at Salcey Forest Northamptonshire of 25.15 (37th) and completed his 50th different parkrun venue.

Moving somewhat Westerly Becky Curtis-Hall and Rob Curtis dropped in at Leamington parkrun on route to Wembley and had a social run finishing together in 195 & 196 places with 27.24 and 27.25.

Finally still in Devon and exploring the remotest possible parkruns, Kate Ruffell had a brilliant run at Mount Edgcumbe parkrun finishing in 16th position and 3rd lady in 26.15.
