Dennis Holmes reports:
Only 14 MACS at 6 events today so in alphabetical order of parkrun we start at Ashbourne where Simon Fisher strolled round in 22.26 for 20th place whilst Louise put in a much better performance with 23.06 for 22nd and 1st lady.
Down at Belvoir Castle, Roy Austin recorded a good time on an undulating course of 24.44 for 18th place with Chris Rouse following up in 28.58 for 40th. Up North and taking this weeks tourist award at Dalby Forest parkrun Christine Howard recorded 21.52 for 22nd and 3rd lady only 18 seconds off the 1st lady time.
Down at Long Eaton parkrun Sarah Walton was continuing her comeback from injury with a gentle 37.42 and 336th place.
Moving back to our local event Monsal Trail, Andy Mellor led home our quintet of runners with a rapid 19.55 for 6th place whilst Tony Barrable made his maiden voyage at Monsal Trail today finishing in 21.40 and 15th place with an age grading of 79.62% ! Next in was Rebecca Curtis-Hall with a time of 23.53 for 42nd overall and 7th lady followed shortly by Andrew Watson in 47th place in 24.14 and bringing up the rear Rob Curtis in 25.33 for 61st position.
At the final parkrun where MAC participation was noted, Pavilion Gardens Buxton, Jay Bird took the honours in 51st place and 25.14 with Lisa Walton next in 33.06 and 136th place whilst Dennis Holmes yet again recovering from injury recorded 48.50 and was the second placed official parkwalker out of 2.
