Malaga Marathon
The Malaga Marathon and Half Marathon took place on Sunday 15 December.
The marathon begins and ends at the Paseo del Parque, an avenue in Málaga Park in front of Málaga City Hall. The course is a loop that takes runners through some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the Malagueta Bullring, Plaza de la Merced, Picasso Museum, and Muelle Uno port area (Thank you AI). It also includes a 300 metre section on a running track, overlooked by an empty stand.
Two MACs, Dan Ashcroft and Dennis Belbin, made the journey to Spanish Costa del Sunshine where conditions were pleasant at the start when it was 8 degrees and it only reached 17 degrees by the end. For their rewards they got 2 t-shirts (1 at registration and 1 at the finish) and a medal.
