2 MAC’s in Manchester
Jill fresh from her Edinburgh success and Vicki (me) hoping for a PB headed over the green hills to the sights and sounds of Manchester.
Saturday afternoon preparation consisted of the 3 P’s required: Primark, Pizza and Pudding 😊
The hotel, 400m from the start line meant no need for the portaloos at the start 🙌, was very bright (see photos!) so we headed to the start line full of motivation!!
Thankfully the typical Manchester rain started to fall as we crossed the start line so Jill didn’t have to melt like the Sunday before!
Half way and the legs were strong, the timings were looking good and we had passed the Eithad!
Old Trafford we were on our way! The heat and the hills kicked in but thankfully so did Jill’s motivation! I could have quite easily walked with 3k to go but I had my buddy getting me through and all the way to the line!
We crossed the line in 2:14:12, within my 2:15 aim and well within my PB!
Jill had then completed a marathon and a half within the space of 7 days!! Absolutely awesome!!
