New year’s day hangover 5 mile report…
69 runner’s finished today’s David Denton organised race.
Venue…the Bulls Head pub at Belper Lane End.
After a mile of gentle down hill the race turns left for a steepish 2 mile climb. Another left turn brings a mile of undulating road followed by a mile down hill to the finish.
First back was Jack Dakin of Derby AC in 26.58 followed by Dennis Nicholas in 27.05 ..third overall was Toby Gill for Matlock in 28.19.
Next for Matlock was Jose Rivas Gutierrez in 29.13.
First lady was Hayley Gill in 31.19.
Scott Thompson finished in 35.32 followed closely by Lottie Riddle in 36.25…second lady.
Jess Gill…(daughter of Hayley and Steve) had a great race to finish in 38.45.
Gavin Elliot finished in 39.26, Steve Gill in 41.10.
Jan Forrester was 1st w70 in 45.02 and Les Thurston was 1st m70 in 46.36.
