parkrun report for Saturday 18 May 2024
Not surprisingly parkrun had to take second place to the Matlock AC Festival of Running this weekend with volunteers needed to stage this massively popular event. So, only 7 MACS were parkrunners this weekend with Monsal Trail having 2 MACS, Tinofara Chiku in 6th place in 20.28 and David Davidson in 93rd in 26.38. Everyone else was solo starting with Simon Fisher at Brierley, 16th/21.39, Jay Bird at Conkers, 91st/25.55, Paul Clark at Moors Valley, 373rd/33.06 and Gav Elliott at Shipley 18th/24.16. Last but not least parkrun world tourist Dennis Holmes was to be found at Kagerzoom parkrun in Leiden in the Netherlands where he ran a respectable 23.49 for 25th position.
