Parkrun report Saturday 10th August 2024
21 Runners at 12 different venues, at least a couple of which are new to this group. Performance of the day has to go to Bob Foreman running 20.25 at Newtown parkrun for a magnificent 82.12%. This only marginally pushed Luke Beresfords 81.17% into second spot with Kate Ruffell also only a decimal point behind scoring 81.07%!! for third. For the youngsters running at Ashbourne memorial parkrun Greg Hopkinson and Simon Fisher recorded a one, two finish only separated by 5 seconds. Louise Rowley also recorded a great time of 22.33 at Ashbourne for 4th lady and 26th overall whilst Sarah Witham and Megan Elliott both chose hilly courses at Barnsley and Bolberry down respectively but still recorded great times only 2 seconds apart with 25.04 and 25.06. Roy and Chris were mini touristing at Chipping Sodbury whilst Dennis Holmes was the proper tourist of the week having made his way to the University of Galway parkrun on the West coast of Ireland. Great running everyone.
