parkrun News Saturday 14 February 2026

Dennis Holmes reports
Only 17 runners and volunteers at 12 venues as a few regulars saved legs for Sunday cross country.
Kalle and Cherry made the short trip to Lichfield and Beacon parkrun whilst Sarah Witham also made a short trip in the opposite direction to Bramall park near Manchester.
Joss Winter added the relatively new parkrun at Brook Leys near Cambridge to our list and had a fine run finishing in 22.47 for 123rd place.
Our man in Cardiff, Oscar Szabo also had a great run finishing in 19.33 for 64th.
Young Misha Kalashnyk had an absolutely brilliant run at Markeaton park where he set his new PB at 22.44 finishing in 57th place.
Not to be outdone, Lisa Walton also set her new PB this weekend running a great time of 27.20 at Osterley parkrun in West London.
With no MAC runners at Black Rocks, Monsal Trail was the go to venue for 4 club members with Chairman Andy officiating as usual and the trio of David Howarth, Roy and Sarah Austin putting in the real effort.
Over at Poolsbrook, Andy Wallis had a great run, finishing in 20.31 for 12th place.
Penultimately, Steve Gill can claim tourist of the week award with a fine run along the beach at Portrush Northern Ireland where his 23.26 claimed 43rd pace and the chart topping 69.06% age grading.
Dennis Holmes meanwhile must try harder in the battle of the 60 year olds as his 24.31 at Vicarstown in the Republic of Ireland and 26th place was only worth 66.01% age grading.
Well run everyone.
