20 runners/walkers and volunteers across 10 venues makes for a pretty typical parkrun weekend for Matlock AC.
Sarah Witham ran another impressive time of 24.11 at Alderley Park parkrun which is near the premiership player haunt , Alderley Edge and was duly impressed by the bathrooms on offer for parkrun.
Black Rocks was the choice of 9 MACS with Chris Gillott leading us home in an impressive 20.56 for 10th place and a 74.04% age grading. Les Thurston took his age category win again in 28.47 whilst Lisa Walton dipped under the 30 minute barrier for a third consecutive weekend. Simon Brister had a nice leisurely stroll whilst Oscar Bridge did some barcode scanning to earn another volunteer credit.
Three other MACS achieving the 70% plus age gradings this weekend were: Christine Howard at Centre Vale with a 24.32 for 18th place and 71.92%, Harry Holmes at Heaton Park where running 16.33 only gets 3rd place but 79.25% age grading and Greg Hopkinson at Keswick where 17.25 earned 7th place and 74.45% age grading.
Roy and Sarah Austin were off mini touristing at Market Bosworth parkrun whilst Dennis Holmes actually stayed “local” visiting Sence Valley Country Park in Ibstock Leicestershire. Greg Hopkinson thereby earns a tourist of the week award!
