parkrun News 1 June 2024
16 MACS have been found to have participated in parkrun on Saturday 1st June covering 14 venues between us and with Kate in the Shetland Isles and Gav in Brighton I think that we have covered the entire length of the country. We also have a new table to track best age grading scores in the month of June as per 4P’s challenge.
Despite “young” Luke Beresford making a serious challenge for the lead in week 1, 1st finishing at Monsal Trail in 17.01 was just not quite good enough earning a great 80.22% age grading score. Kate Ruffell also in her running prime it would seem completed Bressay parkrun in 23.47 for 4th lady and 15th overall earning the pace setting age grading score this week of 80.45%!! A late challenge from Tim Clayton at Penistone with 76.46% shows promise with Tim saying that he can improve on that! Finally I think Pete Bush is trying to keep his results under the radar by sneaking off to Nant y Pandy ever more frequently although I have marked his card now and have him on the permanent parkrunner watch list.
Looking at the photographs we seem to have a lot of happy faces enjoying the sunshine from Kent to Yorkshire via Leicestershire.
Hope to see more MAC’s next Saturday taking on the parkrun age grading challenge.
