
Parkrun News Saturday 14 March
26 participants at 14 venues makes for a fairly typical parkrun weekend.
Misha and Gav were at Ashbourne as per but Paul Clark made an appearance and just followed young Misha in 3 seconds behind in an excellent 24.17.
Black Rocks was family choice for Crofts and Flitters this weekend. At the sharp end Will took 3rd place (Hayley Gill was first finisher) with dad Simon taking 27th. On an age grading basis the margin of “victory” by Will was only 3 hundredths of a percent! Christine Howard had a great run finishing in 23.29 and 37th place with a fantastic 76.08% age grading.
Lisa Walton was a solo MAC at Leicester Victoria where she continued her run of form with a 28.19 for 257th place.
Following the family outing theme at Monsal Trail parkrun the young Reynolds duo of Pasco and Jago were showing dad Hugo a clean pair of heels with the youngsters finishing in 7th and 13th positions, just over a 100 places ahead of dad.
Cherry Moger was sole MAC at Poolsbrook where she had a great run finishing in 22.46 for 4th lady and 35th overall.
Over in Nottinghamshire, David Bowden had a steady run out gaining 31st place with a time of 22.50 whilst Laura Bassett had more of a leisurely jog around in 31.28 for 210th place.
Jon Tyson added a new venue to our list with Simmons park in Okehampton, Devon which secures him the tourist of weekend award, running a fine time of 24.29 for 29th place.
Jo Lloyd took on the hill or hills of Vicar Water Country park depending on which course they are now using finishing in a time of 34.23 for 50th place.
Avoiding all hills whilst grabbing another inaugural parkrun, Sarah Witham ran 22.16 for 4th lady and 65th overall at Victoria Embankment Nottingham grabbing a 74.4% age grading at the same time, second only to Christine Howard this week.
And finally, Dennis Holmes having already run Kulturos Ir Poilsio Parkas parkrun in Lithuania on Wednesday, travelled the relatively short distance to York to run the newish York Community Woodland parkrun where he completed the course in 25.33 for 124th position. He will be anticipating reclaiming the tourist award next weekend unless anyone else is travelling further than Insbruck?
