15 MACS at 11 venues this weekend doing their parkrun thing with some members putting in the effort in the heat.
Simon Flitter made a return to running with a fine 22.51 for 38th place at Black Rocks, the old legs do still work!
New member Martin Sower bagged an inaugural at our newest parkrun in neighbouring Nottinghamshire, Brackenhurst Campus which maybe we can all save for a future MAC parkrun “away “ run?
Jon Tyson ran a pretty rapid 23.24 at Poolsbrook for 48th place and a great 67.95% age grading. Well run Jon!
New member Carl Vincent grabbed a Q at Queensway parkrun, Wellingborough and a fantastic time of 20.33 for 27th place.
Lisa Walton ran another 27 minute time at Victoria Embankment to keep her run of great times going whilst performance of the weekend goes to Cherry Moger at Waverley Lakes where she ran a super quick time of 23.33 to take the first female finisher place and 17th overall. Well run Cherry.
In the competition that really matters, tourist of the week, Dennis Holmes scored a big World Cup victory by visiting the first ever parkrun venue in Canada, Okanagan parkrun in British Columbia. A mere 12 hour 2 flight journey from Matlock.
