parkrun News 18 April 2026
23 members at 14 venues is an on par turnout for parkrun given the number of races that are also taking place this weekend.
Just a brief summary of the performances and highs and lows.
Good to see Misha back and running at Ashbourne together with Gav.
A nice team of Flitters were at Black Rocks where everyone finished within a minute of each other and William recorded a new PB.
Christine Howard yet again set the standard for the week with a 22.12 at Bug Hunter Waters earning a 3rd female finish, 22nd overall an the great 80.48% age grading.
Simon Hoggart recorded a swift 20.06 at Dulwich for 85th place.
Dennis Holmes did an excellent job of pacing 25 minutes at Durham parkrun finishing exactly on time to the second.
Our trio of runners at Monsal Trail all recorded excellent times led in by Andy Mellor in 18th place in 21.11, followed by Liz Burgess in 23.18 for 36th and Jon Tyson in 24.26 for 45th.
Rob and Beccy added Rickmansworth to our MAC list of completed parkruns, taking it steady and saving their legs for Sundays Dronfield 10k no doubt.
And finally, Paul Clark spotted an inaugural parkrun at Waverley Lakes near Rotherham where he had a fine run finishing in 21.24 for 25th place.
