Parkrun Report

parkrun news 25 April 2026

31 MAC’s at 16 venues makes it a bumper turnout on London Marathon weekend. Some excellent running and at least a couple of new PB’s!

Congratulations Ben Meakin, First Finisher at Black Rocks with a new PB of 18.12. Followed in by no fewer than 10 other MAC members.

Also setting a new PB was Kalle Moger at Brierley Forest parkrun which is a notoriously tricky course to get a good time on so I’m sure that Kalle has more PB’s to come.

Well run Beccy and Jack Cummins obviously finishing hand in hand at Conkers in 25.19.

Dave Bowden made a valiant attempt for the tourist award at Holyrood running a fine time of 21.58 but was just thwarted by Dennis Holmes who travelled to the University of Stirling where he ran a somewhat steadier pace of 24.55 around the scenic course.

Keir Probert was up at Keswick where he ran 24.27 for 87th place.

Staying somewhat localish, Roy and Sarah Austin chose the super quick Long Eaton course, Roy running 24.00 for 126th place and Sarah 30.22 for 370th.

Jon Tyson was also choosing speed at Sheffield Millhouses where he dipped under the 24 minute mark with a fine 23.55 for 103rd spot.

Ian Watson was sole running MAC at Monsal Trail recording an excellent 19.20 for 7th place and a 74.48% age grading! Chairman Andy Mellor no doubt did an excellent job run directing yet again.

Paul Clark was back at Moors Valley and ran 21.51 for 40th place.

After a bit of a break from parkrunning, Kate Ruffell returned at the very scenic Newborough Forest parkrun with a 25.55 for 62nd place and an excellent 74.86% age grading.

Nick Gant, saving his legs for his Sunday morning run ran a nice 27.04 at Roding Valley parkrun. Obviously perfect preparation!

Penultimately, Lisa Walton made the small journey to Rotherham and the new Waverley Lakes parkrun where she finished in 216th place in a time of 29.3.

And finally, worthy of mention, old member John Birch rolled back the years at Wickford Memorial parkrun and ran a super 23.52 to finish in 55th place. Where did that come from? Short course?

Well run everyone.
