Parkrun update Saturday 16th November 2024
17 Members ran at 9 different parkrun venues with our local Monsal Trail parkrun accounting for 6 members, 4 of whom were family Reynolds!
From the top in alphabetical order of venue Louise Rowley had a great run at Ashbourne parkrun which must be getting a bit muddy around the fields, finishing in 23.34 for 2nd lady and 24th overall. David Howarth also ran well with a time of 25.47 for 48th position. At Brieley Forest sole MAV Gav Elliott ran a steady 25.03 for 47th place. A bit further afield, Andrew Watson had a great run at Dishley parkrun near Loughborough finishing in 21.48 for 24th place and a 69.34% age grading.
James Pinder was doing a bit of touristing up at Keswick running a 28.57 for 143rd place.
At our home parkrun the first of the Reynolds boys was Pasco with a very impressive 19.59 with Casper only 7 seconds behind in 20.06. Younger brother Jago, recorded 24.01 whilst father Hugo completed the family quartet in 24.18. Nick Gant has not had gender reassignment and is not now a vet 75-79 woman although some may say he ran like one with a 24.53 finish.
Periodic table challenge chasing at Nant y Pandy parkrun on Anglesey was the order of the day for Dennis Holmes and Lisa Walton who both ran rubbish times even considering the hills and the rain. Roy and Sarah Austin recorded much better times at Trentham Gardens parkrun in Stoke which has a fair hill in the one lap course and is now possibly one of the largest Parkruns in the midlands. Chris Rouse was solo MAC at The Cinder Track parkrun which is near Whitby and described as slightly hilly making his 26.12 for 67th position quite impressive. Finally, John Birch made the relatively short trip to Wickford Memorial parkrun in Essex where he ran 26.20 for 64th place and a 64% age grading.
