parkrun News 30 May 2026
A fantastic weekend for parkrun for all sorts of reasons! Starting at Alvaston, the complete family Jones absolutely nailed it with, fantastic times, unbelievable age gradings and 2 new PB’s!!
Misha and Gav were back at Ashbourne representing the sky blue and white whilst Roy and Sarah took on the challenge of the twin peaks at the Bestwood Village parkrun.
The three men at Black Rocks all ran pretty well too and Chris Gillott’s performance at Coldham’s Common of 21.17 for 47th position generated another fantastic age grading of 73.45%
For the second weekend in a row Beccy and Rob added a new German parkrun to the MAC list with Dreilandergarten this time. Beccy ran a great 23.52 for 11th place and second female whilst Rob finished only 3 places back in 14th with a time of 25.03.
Chairman Andy carries on his excellent parkrun form at Monsal Trail with his 20.05 and 13th place earning a superb 75.27% age grading.
MAC junior Charlotte Allaway travelled to Oxford parkrun where she recorded 24.46 for 104th place whilst fellow Junior Isabella Wilson was also UK touristing at Wimpole Estate and running 28.01 for 158th position.
The slightly more senior Jo Lloyd had an excellent run at Yarborough Leisure Centre with a 26.53 for 110th place.
And finally, Dennis Holmes and Lisa Walton made the tourist trip of the week to Poznan, Poland to run at Zielona Gora parkrun so that Dennis could tick off a 10th letter Z and thereby complete his 10th alphabet which by chance elevates him to 10th position in the world parkrun alphabet leader table. Something that maybe he should keep quiet about.
