Dennis Holmes reports
21 Runners and volunteers at 9 venues makes it a quiet parkrun weekend for the MAC parkrun fraternity, but quality is always better than quantity.
Starting off somewhere in Wales, young Stanley Flitter added Aberystwyth parkrun to our growing event list with a fine piece of running finishing in 25.24 and 82nd place and more importantly takes this weeks tourism award!!
Up in Manchester at Alexandra parkrun the ever speedy Sarah Witham clocked up another performance with her 22.02 earning a remarkable 74.28% age grading. Oh the joys of being an older lady!
Not to be outdone, Chris Gillott representing the older men at Black Rocks parkrun, led in the full MAC team of 10 in a rapid 20.42 earning him the impressive 74.88% age grading.
Roy and Sarah Austin made the short journey down to Coronation park parkrun and had a pootle around in times of 24.20 and 31.06 respectively.
Paul Cruise was a solo MAC at Ferry Meadows as were David Howarth at Poolsbrook and Malcolm Betts at Rother Valley.
Club Chair Andy Mellor was Run Directing at Monsal Trail but so far no MAC runner has been spotted in the finish list.
Last but not least, off alphabet hunting at Jubilee, Bedford were Dennis Holmes and Lisa Walton the latter of which ran her 3rd consecutive sub 30 minute run for a long time and completed her 3rd alphabet. Well done Lisa.
