parkrun News Saturday 13 June 2026
Just 17 MAC members were out running and volunteering at parkrun this weekend possibly partly due to participation only 12 or so hours previously at the Hairy Helmet Relays.
Lisa Walton did both after a very busy running week and found a new PB of 26.58 at Alvaston parkrun! Who needs that thing called rest. Dennis Belbin possibly provided some support finishing 2 seconds behind Lisa.
Misha and Gav were back at Ashbourne parkrun where Misha ran a creditable 24.19 whilst Gav finished a couple of minutes back in 26.07.
Emma Holt was our sole MAC at Black Rocks finishing in the swift time of 24.42.
Our man in the East John Birch had a steady run around Blickling in 26.10 earning a 91st place finish and 65.29% age grading.
Serial parkrun junior tourist Isabella Wilson was at the scenic Cusworth Hall this week where she ran a super 26.38 for 68th place and a tremendous 70.46% age grading.
A fine trio of athletes plus Andy Mellor were representing the sky blue at Monsal Trail. Karl Webster led them in finishing in 21.39 for 26th place, folowed by Paul Clark in 24.43 fot 43rd and Jon Tyson in 23.29 for 56th position. Andy did a super job barcode scanning possibly still basking in his glory of winning at the Hairy Helmet relays on Friday evening.
Rob and Beccy were off touristing down South ,adding Peacehaven parkrun to our ever growing location list. It was steady run time for both trotting around in about 26 minutes.
A newcomer to the parkrun list is JM10 Lucas Dix who had a splendid run at the local Poolsbrook parkrun finishing in a time of 28.00 for 151st position.
Pre penultimately, Dennis Holmes visited the new Q parkrun Queensway at Wellingborough and finished in 85th place in a time of 24.49 on the pretty flat and boring course.
Penultimately Malcolm Betts made his 4th visit back to Sizewell parkrun where he ran a sprightly 25.36 for 38th place and a 65.49% age grading.
And finally, Carl Vincent taking this weeks tourist award by miles, paid a visit to the very scenic Tokoinranta parkrun in Helsinki, Finland where he ran a superfast 20.38 for 12th place.
