parkrun News – 5 September 2026
A quiet weekend for parkrun with just 20 of us at 16 venues all within England. Some excellent running especially from our junior members.
Kicking us off at Ashbourne was youngster Misha who ran a fantastic time of 22.37 for 27th position and a new PB! Well done Misha.
Sole MAC at Black Rocks, Gary Jones ran a pretty decent 23.27 for 39th place.
Dennis Holmes off chasing alphabet letters at Greenwich Peninsula ran his seasons best time of 23.46 so was well happy with the new Adidas adizero pro 4’s.
Down at Kettering parkrun, Gav Elliott put in some effort for a 24.46 and 66th place finish whilst new MAC junior Evie Skermer completed the undulating course in a great time of 27.12 for 119th place.
Up in the Lakes ready to support Roy in his Sea to Summit Ultra, Sarah Austin ran Muncaster Castle parkrun in 31.38 finishing in 53rd position.
Quickest MAC of the day was Dave Bowden out at Newark parkrun where he ran 19.41 for 4th place whilst Martin Sower had a much steadier run around in 29.52.

Out final junior runner Kalle Moger up at Skipton parkrun ran a fine 28.51 for 117th place with mum Cherry just behind in 29.00 and 120th place.
Saving legs for the Wilne 10k no doubt, Beccy and Rob sauntered around Waverley Lakes in 29.27/29.28 and 121/122 places.
And finally, Lisa Walton off Wilson Index hunting (It’s a parkrun nerd thing!) made the journey to York Community Woodland parkrun where she ran a time of 30.53 for 158th position.
