Only 14 members were out on Saturday at 7 venues due to large numbers of events being cancelled as storm Darragh brought heavy rain and strong winds from the West.
Down at Alvaston parkrun enjoying the fast out and back course Beccy Becky Curtis-Hall was second lady finisher in a speedy 22.24 with Rob having a more leisurely run out in 25.41.
Lisa Walton claiming frostbite from car park marshalling duties warmed up slightly with a 33.37 jog around.
Our man in the East, John Birch also had steady trot out at Blickling parkrun finishing in 26.47 for 71st place.
Intrepid tourists Jay and Dennis restricted themselves to the short trip across the M62 to Goole where the pancake flat course was only a little windswept enabling Jay to grab a 24.56 for 34th place whilst Dennis suffering from poor preparation could only manage a very poor 27.06.
Monsal Trail was the place to go with 4 MAC members completing the course all with pretty impressive times and better than top 30 places.
Roy and Sarah Austin played safe with a short trip to Poolsbrook, Roy running a respectable 24.31 and Sarah likewise a creditable 29.51.
Paul Clark was sole MAC at Rother Valley country park where he ran a pretty rapid 21.47 for 23rd position whilst Louise Rowley was also a sole MAC at Shipley country park where her 25.03 on the hilly course earned her 3rd placed lady and 18th overall.
Well done to all who got out the door and ran as it was quite easy to think that it was meant to be a duvet day!
