It was a little bit nippy, so only a few hardy soles (complete parkrun nerds), who braved the snow and ice that has descended across the Midlands to find a parkrun still on this morning!
Lisa Walton and Roy Austin chose Alvaston parkrun and Long Eaton to get their weekly 5k fix. Lisa and Roy took the prizes for first MAC lady and first gent with Roy claiming the all important tourist award, until VAR came into play and that award was redirected to Kate Ruffell for her visit to Sheringham.
Elsewhere regular parkrunners Rob and Sarah wanted to embrace the conditions with a hike in the Peaks around Castleton whilst Luke Beresford, Jay Bird and Dennis Holmes, gave serious consideration to establishing the new Paphos parkrun for which they think they have found the perfect route.
