Our weekly parkrun roundup, thanks to Dennis Holmes/

With 16 MAC parkrunners at 11 different venues spread from Cheshire to Suffolk, Matlock AC was well represented in parkrun land this morning.

In alphabetical order of venue, Hayley Gill achieved an exceptional age grading of 87.96% at Alvaston winning the ladies and finishing 4th overall in 18.25, whilst Lisa Walton also at Alvaston clocked a steady 29.12 for 117th place. Just a short trip away Simon Fisher was at his go to Ashbourne parkrun where he had another good run finishing 2nd in 19.31.

Taking our tourist award this week, Kate Ruffell ran an impressive 24.10 at Bury St Edmunds parkrun finishing in 39th position.

Also on the tourist trail Dennis Holmes added Crewe parkrun to his collection with an improving 25.42, 61st place. Our young parkrunners Meg and Greg were also on tour at Delamere parkrun on route to the National cross country no doubt, Megan running 23.42 for 45th and 4th lady, whilst presumably Greg, saving himself for later walked around in 43.56.

Back to serious parkrunners again, Sarah Walton got her D by completing Dishley at Loughborough in 34.00, 169 place and Roy Austin got his I at the Isobel Trail parkrun, 24.54, 75th place. Closer to home at Markeaton Gav Elliott ran 22.55 for 52nd place whilst Louise Rowley had another great run finishing 54th and 2nd lady in 23.01.

Our other regular parkrun couple of Sarah Witham and Rob Scrivens made the relatively short trip to Clifton Park, Rotherham where they both recorded quick times on an undulating course, Sarah clocking 22.28 for 16th place and second lay whilst Rob ran 23.35 for 22nd. Rob also demonstrated that there is no greater gift than a bag of second hand socks. Lucky lucky Sarah.

At our penultimate venue, also on route to the National XC, Luke Beresford completed Trentham Gardens parkrun in 18.40 for 6th place, which may have been a little quicker than he had planned? Finally at our local Monsal Trail parkrun, Andy Mellor had a stormer finishing in 8th place in 19.59 whilst Steve Goodall ran an impressive 22.13 for 23rd place. Apologies if I have missed anyone today. Lease add in your time and event in the comments. Great running everyone!
