parkrun summary 29 April 2023

Dennis Holmes reports on weekly parkrun activities:

Not so many MAC parkrunners this week so a short and sweet round up.

Kate Ruffell takes the tourist award with a trip to Bolberry Down in Devon where she ran a great 23.27 for 26th and 7th lady.

My little jaunt to Brigg was nowhere near far enough but I’m happy with a 24.18 and 25th place.
Our local run Monsal Trail may have had a results problem as there were lots of unknowns in the listing but Hayley Gill 6th in 19.08 1st lady, Andy Mellor, 11th 20.00, Jim Thorneycroft 23rd, 21.31 and Dale Peakall 29th, 21.55 all had top quality runs!
Over at Brierley Simon Fisher continues to perform like a proper runner finishing first in 18.34 whilst Louise also had a great run in 23.30 for 29th and 4th lady.
Over at Ashbourne parkrun Meg was again without Greg (not still recovering from last week’s little run is he?) having a gentle jog around in 24.39 for 38th place, 4th lady.
Back to super short distance touristing with Roy Austin posting a super time of 23.39 for 56th place at Rushcliffe Country park with Chris Rouse in his wake at 26.27 for 123rd whilst Lisa Walton successfully navigated all the way to Market Bosworth parkrun where she ambled around in 32.39 but more importantly got her floating Wilson index 18!
New to MAC but not to parkrun Rebecca Curtis Hall finished in 23.55, 37th place with Rob Curtis just over a minute behind in 25.07 at Forest Rec parkrun, Rob gaining his 100th different venue badge!!
