Dennis Holmes reports:

In alphabetical order of parkrun,14 MACS covered 7 parkruns this morning with some pretty impressive running!

At East Park Wolverhampton, Jay Bird not only collected “East” for his compass challenge but he also ran his parkrun PB finishing in 16th place in 24.26 thereby trouncing Dennis Holmes 22nd and 24.50.

Sarah Walton meanwhile carried on her touristing at Hillsborough having a steady meander around in 41.09 for 497th.

Our speedy MAC award this weekend goes to Greg Hopkinson winning Market Harborough parkrun in 16.48! At the home parkrun Monsal Trail, Megan Elliott had a fantastic run leading home the 5 Macs in 21.16, 1st Lady and 12th overall. Next in for MAC were Nick Gant and Andrew Watson in 15th & 16th with 1 second between them at 21.41 & 21.42. Our final pairing at Monsal were allegedly taking it steady however Sarah and Rob crossed the line together in a pretty quick 23.12 for 38 & 39th positions.

Possibly claiming this weeks tourist prize is Kate Ruffell at Rendlesham Forest where she finished 2nd lady and 17th overall in 24.22. A stewards enquiry is still underway to see just how far (or not) Kate travelled this morning?!

Our penultimate event this morning was Rother Valley where Luke Beresford remembered his shoes but because they are probably Decathlon bargain specials, lost out in the final sprint to the young guns sporting the latest carbon springs and therefore came in 3rd place in 16.56 just 4 seconds behind the winner! Shipley country park is the final venue where 3 Macs took on the slightly undulating course this morning. Simon Fisher had another good run finishing 4th in 20.49 followed by Mark Moriaty in 11th place and a time of 23.34 with Louise Rowley in 13th overall and 2nd lady.

Well run everybody! For future weeks Dennis asks MACs to please take photos and send them to him – in his words “getting sick of the sight of Jay and myself!”
