Dennis Holmes summarises MACs at parkruns this weekend:
Due to some Mickey Mouse cross country event taking place today (the County Cross Country Championships – report due soon), MAC parkrun numbers were down a bit on usual.
Of those of us dedicated to the Blue Ribbon event of running, Sarah Walton took the tourist award by travelling to Dublin for the Malahide parkrun which she completed in 41.48 for 288th position. Also touristing but on a different level was Sarah Witham who was First Lady at Wollaton Hall parkrun in 22.57, 23rd overall with Robert Scriven in 50th place in a time of 24.55.
The most popular MAC parkrun choice today was Alvaston where Dennis Holmes took the honours this week beating Jay Bird by a full 17 seconds and 6 places. Lisa Walton completed the trio of MACS finishing in 29.54, 41st lady and 164 overall.
Roy Austin continued his touristing with an appearance at Cusworth Hall parkrun where he finished 41st in 27.02. Finally a new addition to our parkrun band was spotted as sole MAC at Monsal Trail today where Steve Goodall finished in 23.33 for 17th place. Well run Steve. Apologies for MACS I may have missed.
