Dennis Holmes reports
24 runners at 13 events makes for a pretty typical week for MAC members.
Some pretty quick times and lots of improving performances.
The family Jones decided to visit Alvaston this week and all recorded fantastic times as per usual. Will Gary ever get near a 20 minute 5k? Will Oliver beat him to it?
The usual suspects all ran Black Rocks whilst some dark horse named Daniel Howarth did Blaise Castle down near Bristol in 16.26 and grabbed a first finisher for his efforts.
Roy and Sarah Austin travelled up North for a tootle around Edinburgh parkrun as a warm up for some Tough Mudder type lunacy on Sunday.
The more senior and slower D Howarth running for Matlock AC this weekend at Eastville parkrun recorded a respectable time of 25.14 for 138th position.
Super tourist Dennis Holmes had a lovely run at Kralingse Bos, Rotterdam with 23.36 being his best time for over 2 years. He then went on to Alkmaar for the Whitsun Monday extra run and recorded 24.12 at Oosterhout parkrun.
New MAC members Andy Willis and Malcolm Betts flew the MAC flag at Poolsbrook whilst
Sarah Witham was sole MAC down at Rosliston where she had a cracking run and grabbed 3rd lady spot in 24.44.
Oscar Szabo was sole MAC representative once more in Wales with his excellent 4th place finish at Trelai parkrun in a time of 20.39.
Last but not least team Moger ran the hilly Wakefield Thornes parkrun in 33.39/33.41, well done both.
Further late news in was that new MAC junior Daniel Allaway ran a fantastic PB at Pont y Bala parkrun, finishing in 22.17 and 9th place. Great running Daniel.
