Bob Foreman reports:
A hot and humid evening for this years event. The Inter Inns is a 5K Road Race starting outside The Star in Tideswell and heading uphill to The Red Lion in Litton before returning by the same route to Tideswell and finishing outside the Horse and Jockey.
A great atmosphere in the village for the 109 starters which included 16 MAC runners of which 8 were juniors. Fantastic to see the youngsters.
The race winner was Charles Bell of North Derbyshire RC in a very swift 16.33. and the first lady was Connie Jenneson of Buxton, 15th o/a in 19.46. MAC runners were;
7th William Croft 18.15 1st 12/14
14th Casper Reynolds 19.45
16th Bob Foreman 20.10 1st M60
19th Darren Spibey 20.25
28th Scott Thompson 21.34
29th Andrew Watson 21.38
35th Lottie Riddle 21.57
37th Simon Croft 22.19
39th Ronnie Wood 22.27 1st MU/11
40th Ricky Wood 22.27
41st Pasco Reynolds 22.43
43rd Stephen Addleton 22.55
52nd Oscar Carrington 23.35
80th Toby Bussell 27.53
87th Daniel Addleton 28.49
90th Kate Bussell 29.05
A great evening out but I noticed an age difference of over half a century between MAC runners. My goodness I felt old but as refreshments were taken outside the Horse and Jockey my pint of Brother Rabbit Golden Ale,4% from Thornbridge Brewery made me feel much better.
