Tissington Trail Marathon
The Tissington Trail marathon conveniently takes place on the same day as the Manchester Marathon. And apparently there is also a similar race going on further South. So from a tactical perspective lots of really fast runners should be racing elsewhere, with the chance of a flattering (if not entirely deserved) finish place closer to home.
Roy and Sarah Austin took on the half marathon – with Roy 59th and Sarah 121st enduring the sudden heatwave.
New MAC Chris Henning had a great run to finish 72/203 runners in 4:15.
Andy experienced a slight imbalance between ambition and ability. A little too fast on the way out punished by cramp in the last 1.2k. If anyone wants some advice on how to pace a 41k event, just let me know. Despite a comedy hobble over the finish line, enough for 5/203 in 3:16.
And being nice and local, you can get back home in time to watch the finish line camera feed in London. A lovely little race by the Nice-Work team.
