
The Wirksworth Incline race is a 7km race from just below the National Stone Centre up the Middleton Incline on the High Peak Trail to the trig on Middleton Moor and back. 8 MACs took on the main race on a typical April day and were led home by Richard Cooke who finished in 15th place with a time of 29:02 and were followed by Darren Spibey (41st), Tom Withers (62nd), Chris Gillott (67th), Scott Thompson (69th), Dale Peakall (73rd), Sally Owen (130th) and Les Thurston (137th). 146 runners took on the race with Reuben Orr of Running Late Racing taking the win for the Men in 25:38 and Constance Jenneson of Buxton AC taking the win for the ladies in 28:49.
