Special Edition parkrun news – Christmas Day
It seems that a fair number of Matlock AC members were out and about this Christmas morning.
Monsal seems to be the obvious choice with at least 5 members running there. Special mention to Rob Curtis who was completing his 350th parkrun today.
At Poolsbrook where over 500 runners and walkers turned up! Sarah and Rob had steady runs possibly slowed down by the crowds as well as the alcohol from last night.
Up at Heaton park Manchester, Dennis Holmes and Lisa Walton made up the numbers of almost 700 participants whilst the star act was definitely Kate Ruffell who achieved an age graded score of 80% which meant she was second out of 693 runners!! Brilliant running Kate.
Down in Cornwall Les Thurston gets the tourist award I think at Penrose with a 28.35 finish taking first vet 70!
Dave Howarth is still subject to VAR to find out where the hell his parkrun is. Result in soon. Late Edit “Wallaceneuk” is just South of Edinburgh so I think Penrose is still furthest from Matlock
