Cyprus Half Marathon 2024 – Sunday 3rd March
A fantastic trip away exploring the island of Cyprus in early spring Sunshine, the land of Aphrodite (the Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty) plenty of running, swimming and hiking around the beautiful landscape of the Akamas Penisulia and Paphos was finshed off with the final day running the Logicom Cyprus Half Marathon before flying back to East midlands airport a few hours later. A great event and highly recommended for a cheap winter sunshine escape from the northern european winter. A range of races from 5k, 10k, half marathon and marathon with a wine run to add for those keen to extend there vacation. Spring is a great time in Cyprus with the landscape covered in green and wildflowers a plenty.
Representing Matlock AC, I had a good run, and was pleased with my result finishing in 3rd place overall and 1st V40, in 1.15, a great atmosphere to the race with great support and a free beer at the finish, another one to possibly add to the MAC Calendar?
