Weekly parkrun round up Saturday 20 April
21 MACS were out running or volunteering this week at 9 venues. Lisa Walton made her short trip down the A38 to Alvaston and recorded 31.57 for 206th place whilst Simon Fisher and Andrew Watson were also close to home at Ashbourne running 20.00 and 25.27 for second and 16th places respectively. John Birch our man in the East completed Blickling parkrun once more in 25.03 for 46th place. Beccy and Rob were at Brierley Forest with Beccy securing the second lady finsher spot in 23.09. At the local Monsal Trail venue 9 MACS ran or volunteered, led home by Ben Meakin in 7th place and 19.52 closely followed in by the highest age graded MAC of the week Chris Gillott in 13th place and a time of 20.51. Alice Cundy was first female and 21st overall in 22.36 whilst Ann Armistead secured a 71.17 % age grading with 33.28 and 162nd position. Roy and Chris were off touristing at the exceptionally scenic Nostell Priory parkrun whilst Dennis Holmes was at the hilly Philips Park parkrun in Manchester to get a number 56 for his Wilson Index and his 150th different venue as well. Jay Bird took the notable scalp of Luke Beresford at Sherwood pines beating Luke by a full 1 second! Finally Gav Elliott stayed local at Shipley Country parkrun where he took on the hill and finished in a tidy 23.55 for 27th place.
