Only 15 MACS run and/or volunteered today spread out across no fewer than 10 different venues. Lisa Walton was sole representative at her go to Alvaston parkrun (It’s pancake flat) where she also grabbed a volunteer credit as the report writer. Andrew Watson likewise stuck to the same venue of Ashbourne as last week and had another good run finishing in 25.53 and 27th place on what can be a sticky course at this time of year. Not sure what Simon Fisher was doing at Brierley Forest parkrun in 134th place and 33.12 but fortunately he shows up as Mansfield Harriers in the results now. Jay Bird was sole MAC at Graves park Sheffield finishing in 38th place and 25.16. Hopefully collecting this weeks tourist award, Dennis Holmes took in the scenery at Henlow Bridge Lakes where a slightly soft course contributed to his disappointing 26.11 albeit 19th place. (Its a small event). Most popular parkrun of the week was the superfast Long Eaton where no fewer than 4 MACS were hunting quick times. Beccy Curtis-Hall claimed the honours of first MAC back in 23.23 for 86th and 7th lady followed in 92nd place by Roy Austin, only 8 seconds behind. Rob Curtis was 105th in 24.06 and Chris Rouse 165th in 25.57 to complete the quartet. Gav Elliot was sole MAC at Markeaton park, 23.45 / 61st position and somewhat surprisingly David Davidson was sole running MAC at Monsal scoring another 70%+ age grading in 26.34 and 65th place. Andy and Sarah were on the volunteer team thereby tripling the total club representation. In the weekend of solo runners, Paul Clark seems to have been a Billy no mates too at Poolsbrook Country park finishing in a pretty rapid 23.37 and 39th place whilst Luke Beresford who really does not have any mates preferring to run all on his own every week, completed Shipley Country park parkrun in a leisurely 18.46 for yet another first finisher.
