This Mothering Sunday Retford AC gave everyone the opportunity to make their Mum proud by running 13.1 miles around East Retford. A pretty flat route, it was a great opportunity to stretch your legs around the open Nottinghamshire countryside.
Pretty grim conditions from the start, it definitely didn’t feel like a spring half marathon!! I think the photo epitomises how I felt most of the way round!! But the miles ticked by, and with just some minor chafing from some pretty damp running shorts the finish was soon in sight.
I was pleased to sneak into the top 10 and take home a shiny new PB.
Well done to Lisa Walton and Jay Bird who also made the scenic trip out this Sunday
